From the results of my internet searches it seems that I'm not alone, starting at just under 9,000 miles.

Been a Chevy person since day one...18 new Chevy's bought over the years...really lost my faith with this Traverse.

Steering whining noise..., rerouted steering line, still whining, replaced pump, still whining, bled system, still whining, problem never completely resolved.

Timing chain...oil changed every 3,000 mile with synthetic oil, chain still went bad.

Transmission issue...rebuilt trans (new one not available), works well but leaking fluid.

Losing coolant...replaced water pump

Numerous issues with heated seats...resolved early on

Rear wiper had erratic operation...motor shorted out

Wheels delaminated at less than 20,000 miles, refinished, but peeled shortly thereafter...not covered...

Broken right rear spring, car never carried a heavy load, not operated on rough roads

A/C stopped working...power steering hose wore through line...the same one that was rerouted and replaced...hum

Guess I'll be looking elsewhere for my next vehicle.

Wow....
How many miles on yours now?

As for the wheels--- you use anykind of chemical cleaner?

The broken spring- that has been reported before and there are several post with pics and analysis by someone who is a metalurgist.

You did get many of the 'known' possible issues.... though I see you didnt get the misfires with the 2009 coils... (unless you didnt post it).

My 2010 with 127,500.... the only issue in common with yours--- water pump was replaced.

I can attest the wheels peel because of the junk that builds up in the barrel right behind the center cap. If you live in the snow belt and don't at least once a year (in the spring) pull the wheels and wash that area out REALLY well and get the salt out, the clear coat will start peeling.
**knock wood** so far I've had the same steering noise, at next service gonna try the Lucas Stop Leak/Conditioner stuff. Have issues with the driver side heated seat as well...shuts off on it's own after 3 minutes or so till about the 3rd time then it stays on. A/C stopped working once...I pulled the glove box and was trying to diagnose and in a fit I punched the black box the A/C unit is in and I heard something 'pop' and it's been fine since. All vent positions work as they should so not sure what went on there. Go figure... My LTZ has a bit over 50K on it.

A bit worried about the rear spring thing though...has anyone ever noted/spotted the crack starting before it broke? I'd hate to be hauling my trailer and have that happen.
