Stablitrax/traction control

I have a 2009 Chevy Traverse, that I bought used with 198,000 miles on it. I know its not under warranty but have a question I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

Lately especially after a rain, my stablitrax/traction warning comes on and then says SERVICE BRAKES SOON. My brakes are fine, I have had them checked and because this warning doesn't happen all the time the repair shop has no clue. As it resets itself once I turn off the key. SO having the code checked is problematic.

Could this be a sensor or some other issue? My brakes have at least half the pad left. This problem has occurred as well when it hasn't rained, but mostly happens during a rain storm or afterwards.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Kevin

There have been a number of cars that have come up with weird electrical issues when it rains. Some of the problems have been traced to water getting into the fuse box located behind the glove box. Water can come from a leaking windshield seal or from the sunroof drains if the car has a sunroof.

has the brake fluid level dropped any?
some master cylinders leak within itself.

I believe this can cause the message to come on....

I have a 2015 Traverse, about 17,500 miles on it and lately I have been getting a "Traction Control Off, service Traction Control" I took it to the dealership (it is still under warranty) and they said they didn't find anything wrong with it. Reset the sensors, and everything seemed fine. One week later, Engine light comes on again and same Traction Control message, and now Service Stabiltrak message is coming up. Car got a little shakey and kinda like "puttered" then when driving, when the car was going into 3rd gear it didn't turn over normally. It's back at the dealer today. Has anyone had this issue? I've read in other forums something about Full Body Throttle issues, and something with transmissions
