Chevy Customer Service Could be the worst ever

I have never been treated so poorly by a company. I had a power steering issue with my 2011 Traverse which was within the special warranty period but somehow despite the fact that all the seals we literary blown out of the pump and the steering gear it was not covered under the warranty. I complained directly to chevy about this and there was no discussion no understanding nothing it was basically just you vehicle failed in a manner not covered by the warranty goodbye. Oh I forgot they offered my $2500 off the purchase of a new vehicle. Lets run the numbers on the joke of an offer:
A new traverse is close to $40,000 with all the typical options. In general you could negotiate more then 2500 of the msrp of a vehicle of that cost. The dealership already knows I need the car so I have no bargaining power and they no my trade in needs a $2000 repair so that $2500 offer is no down to 500 off just on the trade in alone.
Thanks GM for be soooooooooooooooooo understanding

It puzzles me as to when they offer you some sum of money off to purchase a new product of the same brand, whether it be an appliance or a vehicle. You were just burned by a company and they expect that you are going to come back and purchase another of their products.
What makes them think that you would be satisfied giving them more money?

It was really hard not to laugh at them when they offered that.

Re: Chevy Customer Service Could be the worst ever

Wow it is truly frustrating dealing with Chevy Customer Service. Currently I am using their social media team as it was the only one I could actually get a response from. I have explained my issue to them and asked for them to have someone to explain how my problem is not covered under the warranty. They basically refuse saying the will only act as a liaison between the customer and the dealer. I have told them many times my problem is not with the dealer it is with the wording of the Warranty that Chevy wrote. This seems to not translate to Chevy Customer Service Language as the only response is "the dealership said its not covered by the warranty"

Yes not much Customer service form them they should rename themselves "Dealer Liaison Team". I have only heard a handful of stories where they actually helped out. Otherwise they are pretty useless, they seem to be a revolving door as well.

Re: Chevy Customer Service Could be the worst ever

So after submitting a complaint to my state attorney general GM agreed to give me about $550 of the $2400 I paid back to me. Not really a large percentage but it's more that I thought I was getting. Anyone else should note that simply complaining directly to GM did nothing I had to go through my Attorney General to get even the 550 back
