09 ...looking for footwell

I'm wondering if any of y'all know what socket type would work for a foot well addition. I looked under the dash on both sides of the traverse and found the holes for a light. I tore them out and looked under the dash and found nothing. I read that GM got cheap and did away with the footwelI and glove box light... Smh.... I figured I'd ask here before heading to the junkyard to whack them off an 07 or 08(if there are any in the yard)
I'm looking fo get this done when I change the interior lighting to LED
Thanks
Mike

Wire them into the overhead map lights above the mirror. Took off the pass side A pillar trim, visor, pulled down the headliner , glovebox ,etc. then fished the wire across the headliner down the drivers side A pillar(after
removing all the trim to get it to the foot well). I was going to cut and solder everything but used 3m's scotchloqs for this install. I use these for work so I know they are better than most crimp on type of connector.

Finally figured out how to post pics

Re: 09 ...looking for footwell

Heres what I used for this endeavor.. The footwells had the holes already for the sockets, but needed opened a bit. The suitcase crimp ons was returned.

$20 at Advance auto. I put the 90 deg one on the drivers side.

before modification

after modification

passenger foot well

drivers foot well

Yeah, it needs a cleaning

I think there is an instrument panel or interior light wire in the brake controller bundle too. I'm planning to tap this when I get around to installing my illuminated sill plates.

Yes, checking a pinout diagram saved in my email, it's GY 8 (pin 2) on connector X209 (brake controller harness connector).
